The fossils presented on this page are Ammonites, (named from their resemblance to the ram’s horns of the Egyptian god Ammon).
These marine creatures, are distant relatives of squid & octopus. The ammonites died along with the dinosaurs some 65 million years ago.
Due to exceptional geological conditions found in Madagascar this Polished Ammonite Fossils are unique, presenting geode like crystal formations inside some the Ammonite shell chambers.
